ClubSQKY Mornington Drive Day 2025

ClubSQKY is more than just a detailing membership, a fresh idea that’s slowly taking shape into something bigger within our business. What started as a simple vision for a structured maintenance program has evolved into a community of it’s own.

At its foundation, ClubSQKY is a membership built to make car care easier. Members receive consistent, high-quality maintenance, priority bookings, and access to elevated detailing standards at exclusive rates designed to protect and enhance prestige vehicles year-round.

But, something unexpected happened along the way – As more members joined, it became clear that the program wasn’t just about keeping vehicles immaculate, but rather a way to bring enthusiasts together. A hybrid between a care plan, and a club. A place where people who love looking after their vehicles enjoy getting them out on the road, to meet others, and to be part of something with a bit of soul.

That’s where our Drive Days were born.

While still new, still growing, and still finding their rhythm, the purpose is simple: to bring together a diverse range of drivers, members and friends who share a passion for connection and the joy of the drive.

Our recent Drive Day to the Mornington Peninsula included a cool-climate wine tasting at Yabby Lake, a relaxed lunch at Hotel Sorrento, and a scenic cruise through the hinterland roads. Read about it below.

A Morning Built for Motoring

With eight vehicles lined up and ready to go, the group departed Gilson in South Yarra toward the Peninsula – one of Victoria’s most scenic and rewarding stretches for enthusiasts.

Stop 1 – Yabby Lake Vineyard

Our first destination was the always-beautiful Yabby Lake, rolling through a winding driveway lined with vineyards in bloom. The convoy looked incredible weaving its way through the property.

Inside, we enjoyed a curated tasting of cool-climate wines – the perfect way to ease into the day: relaxed, refined, and surrounding by stunning landscapes.

Stop 2 – Hotel Sorrento

Next, we crossed over for lunch at the iconic Hotel Sorrento. As everyone dropped their keys onto the centre of the table, it created a moment that summed up the heart of ClubSQKY and our drive days perfectly:

Different vehicles, different backgrounds.

One shared passion.

Lunch was casual, community-oriented, and full of great conversation – With swapped stories of first cars, the ones that winked at us in the classifieds but got away and everything in between. A highlight of the day, it was an opportunity to connect with familiar faces, and new ones alike.

The Hinterland Run

Without much time for content on this leg (we were too busy driving), the group took the Peninsula’s famous hinterland backroads – a stretch of flowing contours, lush greenery, and rewarding turns that make you fall in love with driving all over again.

A few spirited moments, a few crusy ones, and a lot of appreciation for just how good Victoria’s roads can be.

Final Stop: Olivers Hill Pier

The drive ended at Olivers Hill – sun, sea, and a perfect backdrop for goodbyes, photos, and a moment to take in the day.

Why These Events Matter

Every drive day reinforces the same truth: People don’t just want a clean car. They want connection. Community. A place to belong within the Melbourne motoring scene without the ego or gatekeeping.

ClubSQKY aims to build that space – one curated drive at a time.

Whether you’re a long-time enthusiast or just starting your journey, these events are open to ClubSQKY members and their friends. And as our community grows, so will the scale and uniqueness of our drives.

Join Us on the Next Drive: Yarra Ranges

In mid-January, we’re heading to the Yarra Ranges – home to some of the most rewarding road contours in Victoria. Think mountain runs, cool air, breathtaking views, and a day crafted for the love of driving.
