When a luxurious 7 Series came into our care, we discovered two unique challenges: delicate cream leather seats and carpets embedded with husky hair. Adding to the finesse, the owner noted just how neglected the wheels had become. We met the challenge head-on – with craftsmanship, gear and care.
Dog Hair Deep Dive: Cleaning Where It Counts
Cream or beige leather is beautifully sophisticated, but demand gentle, high-quality care. Using premium leather cleaners and conditioners ensure it ages gracefully – maintaining softness and delivering that warm patina BMW owners appreciate.
Regular, proper detailing is key to preserving both aesthetic appeal and material longevity.
Husky hair is infamous for embedding itself in leather crevices and grain. To restore that showroom finish, we relied on trusted pro detailing techniques:
Fabric Softener Mist & Vacuum: A gentle mist of diluted fabric softener loosens stubborn hairs, we followed with strong suction using a pet-hair specific nozzle to extract fur embedded within the carpet fibres.
Gentle Seat Cleaning to lift embedded oils, reaching deep into the contours, preserving seams and texture.
Leather Reconditioning Treatment: Restoring suppleness and adding a protective hydrating finish.
Foam Pre-Soak & Pressure Rinse: Loosening dirt and dust sitting on the surface of the paint, before we lay a mitt on it.
Two-Bucket Method to mitigate cross contamination of road grime, and eliminate abrasion caused by built up dust on the surface of the paint.
Microfibre Towel Hand Dry for impeccable streak-free results.
Tyre Shine to cap off the detail with a SQKY finish.
