At SQKY, we apply the Two-Bucket Method – a professional washing process designed to minimise the risk of scratches and swirl marks during a hand wash. This technique is the cornerstone of safe detailing, ensuring your vehicle’s finish stays pristine after every clean.

Why It’s Effective
By separating clean water from dirty rinse water, the Two-Bucket Method drastically reduces cross-contamination.
After each pass on the paintwork, the wash mitt is rinsed in the 'rinse’ bucket to release trapped dirty before being dipped into the ‘wash’ bucket with clean, soapy water. This stops grit from grinding back into your paint and causing visible damage.
Our Process
1. Preparation
We position two buckets – one filled with clean, soapy water and the other with plain rinse water – both equipped with grit guards.
2. Initial Rinse
Our Foam Pre-Soak & Pressure Rinse removes loose dirt and debris before any physical contact is made.
3. Wash Mitt Application
A plush microfibre wash mitt is dipped into the wash bucket and used to gentle clean one section of the car at a time.
4. Rinse Bucket Cleaning
After each section, the wash mitt is rinsed in the rinse bucket to release dirt and particles.
5. Reload with Clean Soapy Water
The wash mitt is then dipped back into the wash bucket before continuing, ensuring each contact with the paint is clean.
6. Final Rinse & Dry
The vehicle is rinsed thoroughly, then dried with ultra soft microfibre towels to prevent water spots and streaks.
